The Lionheart Educational Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional professional to join our Trust primary leadership team as Director of English in our primary phase. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, leadership and management of English education across our primary schools. We see this post holder supporting our colleagues to fully embed the aims of the national and trust curriculum so that all pupils develop a love for the subject and make exceptional progress, thus facilitating and unlocking potential in a wide range of other disciplines.


The successful candidate will have a desire to work in a creative and strategic role that is anchored in teaching and learning and offers ample opportunity to implement academic research and to evaluate and develop effective schema.  The Primary Director of English will with the primary Headteachers and support the primary Subject Leads for English across the trust and will be actively involved in the classroom experience of the children within our care.
