Our schools celebrate the festive season

This festive season, the corridors of our schools have been bustling with festive cheer! From twinkling decorations, to heartwarming activities, our pupils and staff have truly embraced the Yuletide spirit.

From Beauchamp City Sixth Form in Leicester, where students tackled the GCHQ Christmas Maths Challenge and participated in Christmas Jumper Day, collecting donations for a local foodbank, to Beauchamp College in Oadby, where students packed shoeboxes for the YMCA Shoebox Appeal and collected 201kg of items for the South Leicester Foodbank, the festive spirit was alive and well. The Eco Club at Beauchamp College also created a virtual eco advent calendar.

At Brocks Hill Primary School in Oadby, pupils participated in the Reindeer Run for LOROS Hospice and enjoyed a Christmas dinner with eco-friendly decorations. Meanwhile, at Broom Leys Primary School in Coalville, pupils organized a toy appeal, collecting a variety of gifts for the local community.

The Castle Rock School in Coalville hosted a successful Christmas Fair and provided hot drinks to staff, while The Cedars Academy in Birstall contributed donations to the Soar Valley Food Bank. Hallam Fields Primary School in Birstall held a mini carol concert at a local care home and handed out homemade cards.
