Alongside academic achievement, we encourage holistic growth, helping our pupils to develop a broad range of transferable tools that heighten cultural awareness and improve social skills.
Diverse Experiences
From extra-curricular clubs, societies, pupil leadership opportunities and engaging guest speakers in school, to enriching trips outside of the school gates, we provide a wealth of experiences that inspire and challenge our pupils to reach their full potential. Our young people broaden their horizons through visiting theatres, museums, universities, places of worship, theme parks and attending residential trips in the UK and abroad.
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award
Lionheart schools enjoy an active Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme covering the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. Each level of the Award has four elements that have to be completed typically over three to twelve months depending on the level, and on completion, pupils celebrate at a Lionheart award giving evening.
Designed to positively challenge our young people, this highly-respected scheme encourages students to serve their communities, experience adventure and develop outside of the classroom.
Cross-School Opportunities
Throughout the academic year, we facilitate opportunities for schools to join together and provide pupils with new opportunities, to both collaborate and compete.
Pupils enjoy Modern Foreign Language Spelling Bee Competitions, Lionheart Games (athletics), LET’S Dance, Lionheart Pride, Battle of the Bands and Lionheart Speaks (spoken word performance), to name but a few.
