Lionheart students achieve a ‘roaring’ collection of A-Level results

As a Trust, we believe our commitment to academic excellence is unquestionable, and this year’s exemplary collection of A-Level and equivalent level three results reinforce this.

This summer, our Sixth Form providers situated around Leicester and Leicestershire, celebrated a stunning collection of results with 21% of students securing an A-grade average across their A-level and equivalent examinations.

30.2% of Beauchamp College students and 27.9% of Beauchamp City Sixth Form students achieved at least one A grade. To put that figure into context, England’s national average was 26.5%.

Additionally, over 70% of students from Beauchamp College received offers from Russell Group universities, whilst 51% of students of Beauchamp City Sixth Form earned themselves a place at a Russell Group provider.

There were also some highly commendable individual stories.

Amidst the 899 students studying A-Levels at Lionheart was Niam from Beauchamp College who collected three straight As and is looking forward to studying Neuroscience at The University of Birmingham.

Meanwhile, at Beauchamp City Sixth Form, Hope achieved two A*s and one A and is going on to study History at The University of Warwick. Whilst Cole can look forward to pursuing his passion in Aeronautical Engineering after securing three As.

Joao, from Cedars Martin Sixth Form, achieved three A*s and will study Aerospace Engineering at The University of Leeds this September. Additionally, Leah can look forward to taking her place at De Montfort University to study Journalism, having achieved one B and two Cs.

At The Castle Rock School’s Sixth Form, Lauren acquired two A*s and three Bs and will be studying Psychology and Neuroscience and The University of Bristol. Lottie, meanwhile, can look forward to a new adventure in Scotland, having secured the necessary grades to study Accounting and Finance at Edinburgh University.

A huge congratulations to all of our students this year. Whether off to university or undertaking an apprenticeship, we wish them the very best as they close the page on their Lionheart story and begin the next exciting chapter!
