Mercia Academy Joins Lionheart Educational Trust

At Lionheart, our mission is clear; to ensure that any child from any background has an equal chance to be successful in whatever they do, and we will work in partnership with Mercia to deliver this. In line with our own objectives, Mercia are committed to equipping their students with the academic knowledge and transferable skills that will enable them to thrive in later life. 

The school is also home to a highly-skilled workforce – both teaching and associate – who are dedicated to providing the best opportunities for young people in the local community. We extend a warm welcome to staff, students, families and all those associated with Mercia Academy; we’re excited to start working in partnership with all stakeholders. 

The joining of Mercia Academy into Lionheart not only strengthens our array of secondary provision and geographical expansion into South Derbyshire, but also increases the size of our Trust to 15 schools and the breadth of our combined skillset.
