National Apprenticeship Week 2023

As an employer, we are proud to support National Apprenticeship Week, offering our employees the chance to develop their skills and advance their careers. By providing access to all four different apprenticeship levels, from the intermediate level 2 to the master’s level 6-7, we are enabling our employees to gain a broad range of knowledge and skills.

Apprenticeships can also help close the skills gap by providing people with the necessary on-the-job training and education to succeed in the workforce. We currently have 12 apprentices working across a range of departments, including IT, HR, Education Leadership and Premises, providing opportunities for our staff to explore different career paths and find their passion.

By offering our apprentices access to mentorship and ongoing training opportunities we can help ensure that they are able to successfully complete their study and transition into full-time employment, providing a strong foundation for personal growth and career advancement.

Whether our employees are just starting out in their careers or looking to take their skills to the next level, we are proud to offer them the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.

Yusuf is based at Beauchamp College and is currently studying for his Level 3 apprenticeship in IT

‘I chose to study an apprenticeship as I preferred the concept of learning hands on in a workplace environment. I felt learning on the job would give me the relevant experience I needed to progress in this role whilst obtaining the knowledge I required. I have really enjoyed the online learning as I am able to learn from home and then come into work to apply this in my role. This assists me in understanding how the concepts I have learnt online apply to a real workplace. I have received plenty of support from the team here in IT which has allowed me to increase my knowledge in my role. The types of support I have received varies from help in projects to advice in areas to work on and aspects to look into. Upon the completion of my apprenticeship, I plan to carry on working here in IT at Lionheart.’

Sadie recently achieved a distinction in her apprenticeship in Digital Marketing, and said;

‘After completing my A-levels I knew an apprenticeship was the route I wanted to follow. I was given the opportunity at Lionheart to study and earn, whilst absorbing knowledge from a fantastic team. I’ve learnt so much during my time here and I’m grateful for the experiences I’ve been able to be a part of.’

We are dedicated to helping our employees achieve their professional goals and supporting the growth and success of our company.
