Newhall School Joins Lionheart Educational Trust

The school – who educate children aged 7 – 11 – place pupils at the centre of every decision, ensuring they are both engaged and challenged in their learning; an ethos that aligns well with Lionheart’s pupil-centred approach.

To support the transition into secondary school, the children at Newhall are also encouraged to think independently, whilst strong emphasis is also placed on pupils’ academic, social and physical development. This also runs parallel with Lionheart’s mission to provide their young people with opportunities to develop both academically and holistically.

This move sees Lionheart expand further into South Derbyshire after Mercia Academy, which neighbours Newhall Junior, also joined the Trust in June 2024.. Both schools are situated in Newhall, an area close to #Swadlincote.

Lionheart extends a warm welcome to staff, students, families and all those associated with Newhall; we’re excited to start working in collaboration with all stakeholders.
