Students compete in epic dodgeball battle

Following the roaring success of last year’s event, March saw the return of our Trust-wide dodgeball tournament at Knighton Tennis Centre, with students from our nine secondary schools relishing the opportunity to showcase their skills.

Divided into four age/gender categories, the students faced off in a thrilling round-robin format, where they earned five points for a win, three for a draw and one for a loss.

With a year to hone their dodgeball skills, the standard on display was sky-high. Students ducked, dived, dipped and dodged with incredible agility, while their throwing speed, power and accuracy also shone, with players able to hit the target with pinpoint precision.

After the intense action of 120 matches, the points were tallied, and the champions were crowned:

WINNERS:

Year 7/8 Girls – Sir Jonathan North Girls’ College

Year 7/8 Boys – Judgemeadow Community College

Year 9/10 Girls – Mercia Academy

Year 9/10 Boys – Humphrey Perkins School
