Frequently asked Questions

We’re excited by the interest in applying to Greenstone Primary School! To help with your decision, we’ve compiled a list of common questions we've received, along with their answers. We hope you find this information helpful!

are Breakfast and After-School Clubs available?

We are currently in discussion with a number of external childcare providers who are keen to offer wrap around care at Greenstone. As long as there is pupil demand, we hope that these discussions will mean we will be able to offer this service. Should we not be able to, the local authority maintains a register of childcare providers which you can access here.

what is the Catchment area?

Our admissions policy can be found by clicking here

We do not have a defined catchment map at present because there are currently few houses built and occupied around the school site. Therefore, priority admissions are by distance from the school to pupil's house, in a straight line.

how many school places will be offered?

We intend to open with one class of 30 pupils in Foundation Stage in August 2025. However, if demand is high for places at Greenstone Primary School and other schools in the local area, we will offer up to 60 places across two classes (with the agreement of the Local Authority).

From 2026, two classes/60 places per year will be available.

Road and footpath access from Hugglescote Grange

From April 2025, developers plan to open the footpath that connects Hugglescote Grange with Swinfen Vale, with the road opening in August 2025, making access much easier.
